Story

The monument to a village that almost disappeared The monument was unveiled in 1923 in memory of the men from the then German Neuhäusl who did not return from World War I. More than two decades later, however, the fate of the village itself and the border region changed fundamentally. Today, the monument commemorates not only the fallen soldiers, but also indirectly the former community of Nové Domky. The historic Nové Domky was called Neuhäusl in German; the municipality of Rozvadov dates its origins to the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
