Cemetery Nove Domky
Cemetery Nove Domky
A quiet place of remembrance of the vanished world of the borderland.
Story
When a local church administration was established in Nové Domky in 1786, a cemetery was established there the following year. The local residents thus received their own final resting place long before the construction of today's church. Generations of Neuhäusl residents buried their relatives here, and the cemetery became part of the life of the small border village. However, the history of the 20th century fundamentally changed the character of the entire region. The old tombstones and their torsos remain a tangible reminder of the people who once lived here. Together with the neighboring church, the cemetery is one of the places where the almost forgotten story of Nové Domky can still be read today.
